JOURNEY INTO YOGA
My first taste of yoga was in childhood when my mother taught me Padmasana and Sarvangasana while growing up in Kerala. It was a part of my routine as both my parents were advocates of fitness. As an active and adventurous child, yoga came to me naturally as a movement practice. But, it was in the year 2000 when I found my calling through a dedicated yoga sadhana.
As I got deeper into my journey, I studied yoga under experienced teachers such as Yogaratna Bhaskara Menon, Yogacharya Vishwanath, Yogacharya Prahlada, Shri Pradeep Gowda, Yogacharya Bharath Shetty & Yogacharya Srivatsa Ramaswami and Prasad Bhatundi. I draw my experience and knowledge from these graceful masters who are from the lineage of Swami Sivananda, T. Krishnamacharya & Swami Satyananda.
After a brief stint of teaching yoga in the U.S., I have been actively teaching studio classes & conducting teacher training courses at a 1000 yoga Academy in Bangalore. Being a people’s person with an innate teaching skill, I am passionate about sharing knowledge on yoga as it’s essence is a fundamental part of my life & practice.
